Adobe Connects to Mobile

Adobe seems to be a “must have” product for many of us in the tech world, so it was of interest when this came across the plate. Tuesday Adobe released a new version of their web conference software service,  Adobe Connect 9. Users who use Android, iOS, and Blackberry Playbook will be able to manage their entire webinar from their mobile device. How sweet is that?!

What is Adobe Connect you may ask? It is a software package based on Adobe Flash technology and is a complete webinar solution that could solve attendance issues, boost response rates, and generate more interest through online events they provide.

Adobe Connect 9 has been through a number of significant improvements along with adding some new features like:

  • Customizable Event Landing Pages and Catalogs.
  • Template-based Email content and Triggers.
  • Engagement Dashboard.
  • Online Analytics.
  • Advanced Mobile Support for Meetings and Trainings.

Adobe Connect 9 allows Adobe to get way ahead of the game in online conferencing. It could enable companies that have “corporate meetings that require them to fly out hundreds of people that share the annual agenda” to think twice.

Adobe Connect is not just for enterprise situations either, you can always use it on an individual basis. Adobe provides annual, monthly, and pay-per-use plans. What you need is an host account, each host account can hold up to 25 attendees. The prices per plans are:

  • Annual-US $45.00/month/host – Best Value – Save up to US $120 per host when you pre-pay for a year.
  • Monthly-US $55.00/month/host – No commitment – cancel anytime. Convenient monthly payment.
  • Per-Per-Use-US $0.32 per minute per user

Now I know to the average Android user, that could seem out of the ballpark, but Adobe has great products out there, and I doubt they would let you down with Adobe Connect.  This software could be used in so many great ways when it comes to our Android community.  You are also free to try the software to see if it really fits your needs.

Adobe Connect is a fascinating software package and comes with the great power of being used from a mobile device, like a tablet or smartphone, and allows much flexibilty especially when you have several members from all over the US, or even Internationally.  I suggest you check this software out and give it try. It is one of the strongest “Webinar” programs that is available.
