Ive been using Google Music Beta for over a week now and Ive found I almost never go back to my XM radio, Pandora, or even FM. I cant say enough about this innovation!
What is Google Music Beta?
It is an application for Android Phones that allows you access to all your music over a wifi/data connection anywhere you are. With this application you setup your home computer to sync your music to google then using the Android app you can listen to it over wifi. And best of all your computer doesnt have to stay running. Your library is in the Cloud.
How it works!
What you do is load a small application called music manager on your desktop computer. tell it where you want it to grab your music from and it will begin uploading your files to the cloud. Once the files are in the Cloud you can access them either on your Android device or even online through any web browser. It also uploads your playlists so if you have a party mix or other play list already created it will upload those as well and allow you to use them. As of this writing there is a 20,000 song limit but rumor has it they will be lifting that as well.
How can I get it?
Well right now its invite only, you can go to http://music.google.com and request an invite wait a few weeks and maybe get one. OR simply be on of the first 10 people to comment below, tweet this post / share us on Facebook, and we will give you one of our invites. When Google opens this to the public the wait will be not as long. But why wait just post a comment and tweet or facebook this post and you could be in NOW!
What I Think!
As a traveler I get so tired of the same songs on the Radio, I also get tired of hearing static as I pass from town to town and the stations change. I love to listen to music but no way could I have a car big enough to store it all on one device and why limit myself to a small playlist. Once again Google has surpassed our dreams with another amazing product. I have driven well over 1400 miles and not once have i heard the same song twice. I have only had a few instances where it had an extended time trying to begin to play a song but that is not their fault its the cell towers. So I think this app is going to be just what so many of us are looking for.

I have google music beta and am still on the fence. I have an hour commute the 3g is sketchy and I get pauses during playback and an unusually long delay before the next song starts. If I copy my favorites to the phone they show up twice in my lists. local caching seems to work but has to be redone every time I update the rom. Hey it’s beta
