Is this image a look into the near future? It appears a Google employee in Brazil has accidentally leaked a small image of the forthcoming Google Drive. The employee was giving a presentation to a University in Brazil and accessed the presentation on what is shown in the upper corner as Google Drive. According to our friends at Mashable, Pedro Henrique Moschetta, who was taking in the keynote, snapped the above image as the presenter accessed this presentation.
According to Mr. Moschetta, “Some friends and I were watching a seminar with a Google employee called João Itaqui (Google Enterprise director in Brazil) here at Universidade Feevale (Feevale University) in Novo Hamburgo, RS — Brazil when we noticed he had an option called “Drive” in his Google toolbar.” “I think he, as a senior employee, has early access to Google Drive before public announcement or release.”
You can clearly see where “Drive” is indicated in the standard Google bar at the top of the page. It is nestled nicely between Calendar and Sites. With the rumors that Google Drive will launch soon and with the presenter most likely being someone who would have access to the service, it seems to be true first glimpse. Unlike most of the recent Samsung Galaxy S III images that keep making their way to the internets.
I am ready for Google Drive, are you? Is this the cloud service you have been waiting for? Let us know below.
Until next time.
