Microsoft has recently released the “My XBOX Live” application for Android. It is what many XBOX users have been waiting for.
I cannot speak for this application, as I am not an XBOX owner, but users say:
“We should have the same features as the iPhone Version.”
“It’s Great”
“Awesome App”
“Really Stable”
“Great Features”
Many are choosing to use Spark360, a competitor of this application.
Please Note: As of Version 1.0, this application is NOT compatible with Android Tablets.
According to Android Central, Features Include:
• View, manage, and message friends.
• View and compare your achievement progress with friends.
• Read and Edit your full LIVE profile (name, bio, motto).
• See your 3-D Avatar and customize it while on-the-go.
• Access your recent activity and manage your Beacons.
• Stay connected to the Xbox LIVE community via Spotlight.

The application has a very noticeable “MetroUI” theme.

I agree they really need to start making these apps to support tablets better….
Yes, it is a very nice start, but with the lacking tablet support and lack of widgets really ruined it for me. I’m going to hang on to it for a while and see what future updates bring, but I was fairly disappointed. Tablets aren’t just a fad any more, so they really dropped the ball on that. I prefer using official apps, but at only a buck, Spark 360 is looking like the way to go for me. Thankfully, I’m only a casual player so it’s nothing for me to die over. Ha.
Good article, overall. I just wish the app itself offered a little bit more.
