T-Mobile has announced new prepaid plans for mobile broadband and MiFi users. 300MB 1-week pass for $15, 1.5GB 1-month pass for $25, 3.5GB 1-month pass for $35, and finally 5GB 1-month pass for $50.
These plans apply equally to laptop sticks, MiFi hotspots, and tablets or other portable GSM broadband devices you may have. The increase in bandwidth is likely aimed at keeping pricing on par with other carriers contract pricing, while offering an affordable option to contract pricing.
The changes are set to become effective Sunday, May 20th. If you are already on a month-to-month MBB plan with T-Mobile these will be worth looking at when it comes time to top off.
In concert with T-Mobiles Auto-Refill and prepaid account management apps the magenta network seems hell bent on competing in the prepaid market. These are certainly better options than that other GSM network has to offer, so I see many of my unlocked tablet bearing brethren taking great advantage of the new offers.
